Like many of you have experienced, 2018 was an unprecedented time of growth, learning and healing for me. I am especially grateful for the opportunity to publish Natural Awakenings Twin Cities magazine and for the ability to work closely with the small business owners who bring this magazine to our readers each month through their advertising support and editorial collaboration. Having attended many events and expos this past year, I have been honored to introduce new readers to Natural Awakenings and have enjoyed meeting long-term readers who shared  memories of their favorite articles and positive experiences with our advertisers. Building these connections and deepening these relationships are even more fulfilling than I dreamed possible when I purchased this magazine.

As I look to 2019, I am excited for the many opportunities that lay ahead, including a new radio show I will be hosting on AM950 called Green Tea Conversations. Please join me at 10 a.m., on Sunday mornings, as I conduct in-depth interviews with natural health professionals about the latest modalities, practices and methods available to help us lead healthier, happier lives. The overall theme for 2019 is overcoming fear, which can more easily be done when we gain knowledge about our physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health. This knowledge increases our confidence, allowing us to more fully trust our own intuition—the gut feeling we have that guides us in making better life decisions.

The inaugural show on January 6 will feature an interview with the founder of Natural Awakenings Twin Cities magazine, Jackie Flaherty. We will learn about her journey in starting the publication seven years ago, some of her fondest memories, the challenges she overcame and perhaps get a peek into her future plans.

Show topics in the coming weeks will include creating healthy homes, natural approaches to pain relief and holistic dentistry. All shows are recorded and can be received online or anywhere you get your podcasts.

The promises of 2019 include deep connection, expanded knowledge and abundant wellness—I’m putting it out there. Won’t you join me?

Wishing you prosper,
