Letter from the Publisher

As I write this letter, I reflect on all the things I have to give thanks for this Thanksgiving: A happy and healthy family; a warm and comfortable home; health and wellness; and wonderful friends. I’m also looking back over the last year with heartfelt thanks for all the great people I have met, including clients, partners and you, our valued readers. I have loved meeting you at events, talking with you on the phone and corresponding through emails. It has now been one full year since purchasing this magazine and I have learned so much. Yet there is so much left to learn—and I look forward to doing this along with you.

One opportunity for us to learn together is the upcoming Your Shining Life Expo, on November 10. Within these pages you will find the schedule of speakers and the list of exhibitors who will be showcasing their products and services. Not only will there be the opportunity for you to try services like Esogetics sound and brainwave therapies, Hanmi Buddhist spiritual healings, binaural beats therapy, Craniosacral Therapy and halotherapy, but you can also seek the advice of professional coaches, marketers and other specialists. You can start your holiday shopping early or splurge on yourself. What can be better than the gift of well-being? I hope you will join us!

This time of year makes me think about family traditions. Nearly 10 years ago, my family started a new Thanksgiving tradition of writing what we are thankful for on a fabric tablecloth with permanent marker. Since it’s only used for Thanksgiving, it is always a nice surprise to look back at all the wonderful memories from the years past as we set the table for dinner. It’s especially meaningful to see my mother’s handwriting and reminisce about the holidays we all shared prior to her passing, and the message from my son about how grateful he was to be in a new relationship with a wonderful woman who is now our adored daughter-in-law.

We would love to hear how you create memories with your family. Please share your ideas with us on Facebook at

Wishing you everything wonderful!
