We Day, the annual signature event of Free the Children, will take place from 9:30 a.m. to 2:15 p.m. on October 8. The event will be held at the Xcel Energy Center, in St. Paul.

We Day is a series of events bringing together thousands of students, educators and honored guests for a day of inspiring speeches and performances, sponsored in Minnesota by Cheerios, Green Giant and Yoplait.

Some of the many performers and speakers at this year’s event include the Jonas Brothers, Carly Rae Jepsen, Demi Lovato, the Kenyan Children’s Choir, Bridgit Menler, Mark Dayton, Chris Coleman, Mia Farrow, Barbara Pierce Bush and Martin Luther King III.

For thousands of student leaders, We Day kicks off a year-long commitment to We Act, a service learning program to inspire youth to take action on social issues. This event helps to turn a day of inspiration into sustained activism.
