5D Wellness Combines Holistic Therapies to Promote Overall Wellbeing

Mar 01, 2024 12:00AM ● By Sheila Julson
As a holistic health enthusiast, Brittney Yares knew that others could benefit from the wellness modalities she used at home, such as an infrared sauna. In 2023 she formed 5D Wellness, a comprehensive facility that combines therapies to enhance physical and mental health. Yares
invited her long-time friend and registered nurse, Kara Stute, to join her to share knowledge and educate clients about integrative wellness.

Services at 5D Wellness include infrared light sauna, red light therapy, cold plunge therapy and salt halotherapy. The business uses a unique tiered membership model that allows 24/7 digital key access to the therapies via members’ smartphones. The facility is locked after hours, and there are security cameras to help ensure safety. One-day passes are also available, as well as free trial passes.

“We are a one-stop shop where you can come in, rotate through the whole facility and use the services that you want,” Stute explains. “The rooms are always open, nobody rushes you through and you don’t need an appointment.”

5D Wellness has five full-spectrum infrared saunas with red light therapy that can be adjusted to near, mid and far infrared wavelengths, which determines how deep they penetrate into the skin and cells. Users can adjust the wavelengths for targeted benefits such as detoxification, weight loss or relaxation.

Red light therapy uses red and near infrared wavelengths of light to naturally stimulate the body at the cellular level. This can produce more adenosine triphosphate (ATP), the energy-carrying molecule found in the cells of all living things. “Red light therapy helps with cellular regeneration, which can benefit the skin, increase collagen, boost the immune system, and may even help increase fertility,” Stute says.

Two forms of contrast therapy available at 5D Wellness include rooms with saunas and cold plunge tubs, and a room with a hot plunge and a cold plunge tub. Alternating between hot and cold extremes can stimulate blood flow, which Stute says may improve mood, increase dopamine, reduce inflammation and soothe muscles after workouts.

The salt halotherapy, different from salt caves which may take up to two hours per session, has a salt halo generator that fogs pharmaceutical-grade salt, the purest form of salt used in medical products. This allows the salt to rest directly on the skin and lets users breath it in directly. Clients can receive salt halotherapy in as little as 10 minutes to achieve benefits. Stute says salt halotherapy can aid the respiratory system, improve sinuses and help reduce allergies.
Stute adds that all the services at 5D Wellness complement each other by helping to improve skin, detoxifying the body, reducing inflammation and increasing mood. “These wellness therapies work together to enhance all aspects of health.”

Stute and Yares strive to create a positive, welcoming ambiance that’s non-judgmental and inclusive. Their clients include people of all ages, professions and trades that enjoy wellness experiences and trying new therapies.
