Minnesota Nordic Ski Opener is December 9

Everyone is welcome to embrace winter by celebrating cross-country skiing at the inaugural Minnesota Nordic Ski Opener, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., on December 9, in Maple Grove.

Skiers of all abilities and ages are invited to kick off winter with free skiing, rental equipment and mini lessons. Ski on your own or participate in the numerous Rennet Ski Tour events. Activities are on and off the snow, so dress for the weather. There will also be seminars by industry experts, demos of the latest equipment by manufacturers and retailers and roller ski demonstrations.

For the younger ones, there will be a Kids Carnival area open from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Concessions available for purchase.
