Do you find yourself stuck in anxiety, anger, fear or shut-down during times of your community’s and country’s uncertainty? On Sunday, February 1, Somatic Trauma Therapist Laure Schwartz and Healing Touch Certified Practitioner Allison Dawn Runchey will facilitate a trauma-informed workshop in Saint Paul to help participants find a sense of safety and power from within and use it to be a positive influence in the world.
The facilitators explain that many people feel mentally overwhelmed or emotionally withdrawn when facing current instability in areas such as leadership, finances, children’s futures and multi-cultural safety. The three-hour workshop is designed to help participants understand their personal trauma responses, regulate their nervous systems and use energetic grounding and centering practices to restore mental, physical and emotional resilience.
Attendees will gain foundational knowledge of their own energy fields and how they interact with those around them in the context of world events and collective trauma. Schwartz and Runchey will also offer ways to develop self-compassion and be a compassionate presence for others. Limited to 12 people, the workshop includes light snacks and is hosted by The Healing House of Saint Paul.
Cost: $150. Location: Highland Park Library, 1974 Ford Pkwy., St. Paul. For more information or to register, visit HealingHouseSaintPaul.org or call 612-269-9635.
