(she/her)

Dr. Cassandra is an experienced acupuncturist and herbalist. She has supported patients with eye health, seasonal and esoteric alignment, allergies, stress, anxiety, depression, grief, digestion, oncology side effects, reproductive health, immune support, the common cold, injury recovery, pain management and so much more.

After earning her Master’s degree in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) from the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine she went on to study in the Doctorate of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine program at the California Institute of Integral Studies before moving to the Twin Cities. Dr. Cassandra then completed her Doctorate of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine with Pacific College of Health and Science after getting her practice in Minnesota off the ground. She has completed clinical internships in Family Medicine, TCM Oncology, and Macular Regeneration.

How did Dr. Cassandra come to find acupuncture and East Asian Medicine?

She was originally drawn to acupuncture after receiving treatment at what would become her school clinic in San Francisco, CA. Her experience with acupuncture inspired her to change her whole life for the better. As a lifelong artist, Dr. Cassandra has always tried to create healing moments in the world through reflection. Some paths that inspire her are intersectional feminism, gender and queer studies, respectful parenting, anti-racism, social justice, environmental activism, body positivity, inclusive spirituality, harm reduction, and ways to improve both allopathic and natural medical spaces. It is an ever-changing, growth-oriented, reflective process that influences her artistic endeavors and her healing practice. Acupuncture, herbalism, and her healing practices feel like a natural and direct extension of creative desire.

How did she get involved in creating The EyeBright Regimen?

It was divine happenstance that brought Dr. Cassandra to study Mats Sexton, L.Ac.'s Macular Regeneration program. She was asked by a patient to study the Mats and a passion was born. Mats, the acupuncturist who offered his program in the Twin Cities for 17 years, was leaving the country and Dr. Cassandra was able to continue his practice after an extensive internship. Bringing in her own knowledge and history led to the creation of the EyeBright Regimen.

The EyeBright Regimen proved to be a source of constant excitement and inspiration for Dr. Cassandra. Not only does the process spark her professional curiosity with its effectiveness but it is deeply moving to witness the effect it has in patient’s lives. How could she not be moved by being allowed to help people keep seeing, keep working, keep reading, keep living independent lives? It is a privilege to offer this powerful method to bring hope to folks with degenerative eye diseases.
