Make Your Own Hard Cider at Eastman Nature Center
Discover apple cidering history and how prohibition affected the industry and Elm Creek Park Reserve. From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 13 at Eastman Nature Center, in Elm Creek Park Reserve.
Make cider using a press and different apple varieties and taste the differences. Travel to Sociable Cider Werks to explore the process of making hard cider with juice from Cider Werks and leave with a one-gallon carboy full of cider wort. Bring your favorite commercial hard cider to share for sampling. Includes juice, carboy, and other materials needed. Cost is $60 and reservations are required by seven days prior. Call 763-559-6700 to make a reservation. This program is for ages 21+.
