Golden Sun Chiropractic, in St. Louis Park, will hold a free screening of the documentary Doctored at 6:30 p.m. on August 15. The event is open to the public.

Doctored, by award-winning producer Jeff Hays (On Native Soil), explores the monopolization of the medical system in the United States. Some of the questions the movie seeks to answer include: Is much of what we “know” about modern medicine just slick marketing from companies that profit when we’re in pain (or by putting us in pain)? Why aren’t we being told about the successes of natural therapies? Why do so many people think chiropractors are “quacks,” nutritional supplements are a waste of money and acupuncture is a fringe therapy?

A question-and-answer session will follow the film, and refreshments will be provided.
