Introductory Class on Essential Oils

Diane Christofferson

Aark Advanced Electrolysis and Advanced Wellness, in New Brighton, will host a class on Young Living Essential Oils 101. It will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. on September 16 and is open to the public.

Presented by husband and wife Chris and Lisa Taylor, this interactive workshop will have a hands-on component for those interested in learning about the benefits of essential oils. Essential oils are used in a variety of ways; they can be inhaled, applied topically or ingested through food or drink.

“From aromatherapy to cooking and medicinal purposes, essential oils have been a vital part of everyday life, dating back to 4500 B.C.,” says Chris Taylor. “People don’t need to know everything about the oils to begin using them. Just start slowly.” The Taylors will provide all the education necessary on how to use the oils. They add that eventually one can replace chemicals in the medicine and cleaning cabinets and kitchen, as well as personal and pet care products.

The class is hosted by Diane Christofferson, owner of Aark Advanced Electrolysis and Advanced Wellness, who has included essential oils in her work for many years.

Cost: $15, to be paid in cash at event. Registration required; space is limited. Location: Aark Advanced Electrolysis and Advanced Wellness, 704 9th Ave. NW, New Brighton.
