Natural Awakenings Twin Cities

Maiden Minnesota Hosts Annual Fundraiser

Maiden Minnesota will host its annual fundraiser from 5 to 10 p.m. on November 1 in Minneapolis. Maiden Minnesota is a fun, charitable shopping event featuring women-owned businesses in Minnesota.

More than 35 “maidens” will showcase their fashion, jewelry, accessories, home décor and specialty food items. The event will feature exclusive sales, merchandise and a silent auction.

Maiden Minnesota was founded in 2007 by Tracy Dyer of Urban Junket and Jen Stack of Relish Minds PR, both in Minneapolis, to raise awareness locally and nationally for the women-owned companies that have helped make the Twin Cities a hotbed of creativity and design.

Maiden Minnesota 2013 will help support and raise awareness for The Makers Coalition, a movement to restore and build the industrial sewing heritage of America. The coalition works “to find, train and employ a proud, creative and skilled workforce for today and future generations.”

Cost: $20 advance; $30 at the door.  Location: Graves Hotel, 601 First Ave. N., Minneapolis. For more information, visit MaidenMinnesota.com.
