‘Love Your Organs, Love Yourself’ Seminar

Feb 23, 2014 03:26PM

Warren King

Licensed acupuncturist Warren King, of Minnetonka, will present a seminar entitled “Love Your Organs, Love Yourself” from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on March 29. It will be held at The Marsh, in Minnetonka, and includes a full vegetarian lunch.

King will explain how to take care of the body’s organs, including the philosophy of yin and yang, the five phases of energy, facial diagnosis, a healing diet for each organ, medical qi gong exercises, healing sounds for the organs and the main acupressure points for self-healing. He specializes in auricular therapy, which uses the outer ear to diagnose specific imbalances and locate problems.

“Traditional Oriental Medicine has always recognized the role of substances such as foods and herbs in healing,” says King. “But, unlike Western medicine, Eastern medicine has also understood the vital role that energy, or chi, plays in creating health. The energy that keeps us alive is also what the body uses to heal and repair itself. When energy flow is disrupted or out of balance, vitality decreases, symptoms appear and eventually diseases develop.”

Registration deadline is March 21.

Cost: $90; includes vegetarian lunch. To register, call 952-930-3575. Location: The Marsh, 15000 Minnetonka Blvd., Minnetonka. For more information on Warren King, visit WarrenKing.com.
