WaterFest 2014 Scheduled for May 31

This year’s WaterFest will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on May 31 at Lake Phalen Park, in St. Paul. “Water Is Life” is the theme of the 2014 WaterFest—a celebration of Minnesota’s clean lakes and an opportunity for outdoor, hands-on learning about clean water, wildlife and land and water conservation.

Visitors can experience the lake with Voyageur canoe and solar pontoon boat rides; stand-up paddleboards and fishing lessons; and canoes, kayaks and paddleboats for that can be checked out.

Other activities including a fishing contest, geocaching, climbing walls, jump castle, native plant giveaway, eco-arcade, live animals, water games, landscaping, watershed and art exhibits, open mic and lakeside yoga. 

This event is sponsored by the Ramsey-Washington Metro Watershed District, cities of St. Paul, Maplewood, Little Canada, Oakdale, Roseville, Shoreview, Landfall and North St. Paul, Ramsey County and other partners.
