Free WaterFest 2016 on June 4

Make a Splash at WaterFest 2016, from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., on June 4, at Lake Phalen. This free family festival celebrates clean lakes and offers fun and an opportunity for outdoor, hands-on learning about clean water, wildlife and land and water conservation. Start the day with a Voyageur canoe, paddleboat, canoe, kayak or a solar pontoon boat ride, learn to fish or participate in a fishing contest.

For landlubbers, the fun continues with water games, a water arcade, geocaching, climbing walls, jump castle, native plant giveaway, passport odyssey, live animals and a special K-9 unit, landscaping, watershed and art exhibits, music, lakeside yoga, food for purchase and lots more.

WaterFest is sponsored by the Ramsey-Washington Metro Watershed District, the cities of St. Paul, Maplewood, Roseville, Little Canada, Oakdale, Shoreview, North St. Paul and White Bear Lake, Ramsey County, Barr Engineering and other partners.

Location: 1600 Phalen Dr., St. Paul. For more information, call Debbie Meister at 651-647-6816 or email [email protected].
