Free Hypnosis Classes Offered Monthly

The FARE Hypnosis Center, in Eden Prairie, offers free and paid hypnosis to help participants learn how hypnosis works and how they can utilize the skills of self-hypnosis or hire a professional. Roberta Fernandez, the center’s founder and president, is a board-certified hypnotist and certified instructor.

The first of two free classes for September is Hypnosis is a Natural State of Mind, held from noon to 12:45 p.m., on September 15. Attendees are welcome to bring a brown bag lunch. Fernandez says this is a great introductory class and can help people discover how hypnosis works and if it’s a modality that can assist them in reaching their goals.

The second free class is Improving Test Taking and Study Skills, held from 10 a.m. to noon, on September 17. “From teens to grown-ups, hypnosis can improve your focus, memory, ability to recall information and build confidence,” says Fernandez.

Increasing Patient Satisfaction and Success with Hypnosis will be a free course offered in October to medical personnel (doctors, nurses, paramedics, various practitioners) who want to learn how implementing hypnotic techniques can help improve their practice, benefit staff and build relationships with satisfied patients.

A complete listing of the class topics for the monthly free classes is posted on the FARE Hypnosis website.

The 5 Path Super Certification Course is a paid class scheduled for October 17 to 28 (no Sunday class). This rigorous class is designed for new hypnotists and emphasizes hypnosis using regression techniques.

Successful participants will receive certification from the National Guild of Hypnotists as well as certification from The Banyan Hypnosis Center. They will be taught effective and professional instant and rapid hypnotic inductions, regression, forgiveness and parts work and they will learn the powerful systematic techniques of 5 Path and 7th Path Self-Hypnosis. Fernandez says these are intense, full days that included two-hour practice sessions bookending each day.

FARE 1.0 Certification Course is a paid class recommended for medical personnel and consists of four weekends: September 23 to 25; September 30 to October 2; October 7 to 9; October 15 to 16. This rigorous class for new hypnotists emphasizes hypnosis using Ericksonian (direct suggestion) techniques.
