Midwest Women’s Herbal Conference in Wisconsin

Venice Williams

The eighth annual Midwest Women’s Herbal Conference, to be held from May 31 through June 2, in Almond, Wisconsin, will include transformation and plant medicine as women from all over the world gather to rekindle the wild within or deepen their knowledge of plants. Participants will walk away from this time together in the woods feeling more empowered and inspired.

This year’s featured speakers include Venice Williams, Mimi Hernandez and special guest Susun Weed along with a wide spectrum of knowledgeable and inspiring instructors. Williams is executive director of Alice's Garden Urban Farm, in Milwaukee. Hernandez, a registered herbalist, is executive director of the American Herbalists Guild. Weed is an author and voice in the Wise Woman Tradition.

Participants will enjoy plant walks and workshops on topics that include herbs for family health, wild edibles, fermentation, permaculture, movement, herbal wisdom, wise woman ways and much more. This year’s conference also plays host to a kids’ camp as well as teen herbal camps, red tent space, fire circles, singing circles, delicious locally sourced farm-to-table meals and more.

Early bird rates are available until Jan. 14. For more information and registration, visit MidwestWomensHerbal.com.
