Anoka-Ramsey Community College’s Therapeutic Massage Program Earns National Recognition

Anoka-Ramsey Community College’s Therapeutic Massage program has achieved national recognition from the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB). This accreditation underscores the program’s commitment to high-quality education and adherence to professional standards in therapeutic massage.
The 38-credit diploma program offered on the college’s campus in Coon Rapids, Minnesota, offers specialized instruction in anatomy, kinesiology, pathology and clinical massage techniques. Students also receive training in nutrition, medical terminology, business basics and ethical guidelines for holistic health practitioners. The program includes an internship and clinical massage practicum, providing students with hands-on experience.
Graduates of Anoka-Ramsey’s Therapeutic Massage program are well prepared to sit for the Massage and Bodywork Licensing Examination (MBLEx) and pursue careers in various settings, including medical facilities, health and wellness centers and private practice. The program’s alignment with nationally recognized standards enhances students’ credibility in the industry, improving job prospects and client confidence in their skills.
