The Salt Room Woodbury Celebrates Two-Year Anniversary

The Salt Room Woodbury will celebrate its two-year anniversary with an Open House from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., on November 17. As a thank you to their customers, they are offering $20 Adult Salt Sessions and $20 Children’s Salt Sessions (children’s session includes one adult and one children up to 11 years old). Appointments are required. Cake and other refreshments will be offered as well as hourly giveaways.

Upon entering the salt rooms, visitors will see the area is covered from ceiling to floor in a salt application. A halogenerator is used to pulverize pharmaceutical grade salt into micron-sized particles that reach far into the lungs and sinuses. A single treatment lasts 45 minutes. Clients simply sit in the salt room, relax to calming music and dimmed lights, and inhale microscopic particles of salt.

Salt is a known anti-inflammatory and works deep within the respiratory system. In addition, it has antibiotic and antifungal properties. As a drug-free alternative to standard medicinal cures, inhaled dry salt therapy is proving to be an amazing relief and therapy for those with allergies, asthma, bronchitis, headaches, COPD, cold and flu, and coughs. Salt therapy has also been shown to be a relief for cystic fibrosis, ear infections, sinusitis, psoriasis and various forms of dermatitis.

Owner Gloria WahrenBrock says salt therapy is great for building the immune system and can ward off colds and the flu. It also improves energy levels. “Salt is anti-inflammatory and antibacterial and helps with mucus clearance by decreasing its thickness, allowing it to be expelled,” she explains. In addition, she says salt therapy has been shown to help improve the respiratory system and skin and facilitate better sleep.
