Season’s Greetings, Friends!

December is a wonderful time to look back at the year and reflect on what has gone well, lament on the challenges experienced  and consider what we get to create in 2023. Taking the time to journal about the journey we’ve been travelling over the past 12 months can be both encouraging and eye-opening.

It can be inspiring to read our previous New Year’s resolutions or the goals we set earlier in the year. Many times, even if we stopped actively working on them, they have developed through intentions we set months prior. Now, it is once again the perfect time to get motivated and take up the cause if they are truly something we aim to create.

Now is also the perfect time to light the fireplace, wrap up in a warm blanket and read through our gratitude journals (or start one, if you haven’t already). Being reminded of everything good in our lives fills our spirit with love and joy. It’s easy to feel discouraged and overwhelmed, especially this time of the year; the gentle practice of gratefulness will increase our positive energy and replenish us so we can better face the challenges that await.

Tradition is important to create continuity and connection. Practicing at least one annual holiday tradition may be all it takes to bring us into the holiday spirit. This is a highly effective antidote, especially good for those of us who have lost loved ones. Traditions serve as a reminder of who and what is important to us.

This month, give yourself “me time”. Stay connected. Practice gratitude. Feel the love all around you. Be It.

Many blessings,
